 Instructions:
Round 1:
Ch 3, 8 dc into Magic Ring
Round 2:
Pull tight the magic ring, turn over. Ch3, dc into same ch, dc into each ch * 3, 5 dctog into next ch, dc into each ch * 3, 2 dctog into next ch [3rd ch of ch3].
Round 3:
Turn over. Ch3, dc into same ch, dc into each ch * 6, 5 dctog into next ch, dc into each ch * 6, 2 dctog into next ch [3rd ch of ch3]
Round 4:
Turn over. Ch3, dc into same ch, dc into each ch * 9, 5 dctog into next ch, dc into each ch * 9, 2 dctog into next ch [3rd ch of ch3]
Round 5:
Turn over. Ch3, dc into same ch, dc into each ch * 12, 5 dctog into next ch, dc into each ch * 12, 2 dctog into next ch [3rd ch of ch3]
Round 6:
Turn over. Ch3, dc into same ch, dc into each ch * 15, 5 dctog into next ch, dc into each ch * 15, 2 dctog into next ch [3rd ch of ch3]
Round 7:
Turn over. sl into 1st ch and next 11 ch. [Total 12 sl sts]
Ch3, dc into same ch, dc into next 6 ch, 5 dctog into next ch, dc into next 6 ch each, 2 dctog.
Round 8:
Turn over. Ch3, dc into same ch, dc into each ch * 9, 5 dctog into next ch, dc into each ch * 9, 2 dctog into next ch [3rd ch of ch3]
Round 9:
Turn over. sl into 1st ch and next 9 ch. [Total 10 sl sts]
Ch3, dc into same ch, dc into next 4 ch each, 5dctog into next ch, dc into next 4 ch each, 2dctog into next ch.
Round 10:
Turn over. Ch3, dc into same ch, dc into each ch * 7, 5 dctog into next ch, dc into each ch * 7, 2 dctog into next ch [3rd ch of ch3]. Fasten off.

I used Begonia yarn art Mercerized cotton Yarn, crochet hook size 3 for this project, PATONS Grace Yarn is a great substitute, too. enjoy.
Awesome used F hiik with 4ply cotton yarn made a 7inch tall 6inch wide at base tree. Very cute.

Although you said to use a certain type of yarn, I have used both worsted weight (BIG tree) and Sugar and Cream cotton (almost big) yarn. The sugar and cream E/4 3.50 hook and the worsted weight I used a I/9 hook.. Both are too big. I suppose I still need to use a smaller hook and smaller yarn. These are so cute, gotta get the right combination as they need to be smaller. Thank you for sharing.
Hi, I don’t understand the instructions? The beginning: do you do a magic circle then ch3 and dc 8?? And I don’t know how many chains on each row- please explain pattern! Thanks
start with magic ring, not joining into circle, pull tight then turn over for 2nd row
From the looks of it, she means work into stitch not chain.
Sorry. I’m new to this. The pattern reads: “Ch3, dc into same ch, dc into each ch * 3, 5 dctog into next ch, dc into each ch * 3, 2 dctog into next ch [3rd ch of ch3]”
dc into each ch…. doesn’t that mean the next “stitch” from Round One?
